Dow-Key Microwave Corporation is the world's largest manufacturer of electromechanical switches for radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Founded in 1945, we are also the oldest continuously operating RF/microwave switch manufacturer in the United States and are an operating company within Microwave Products Group (MPG), a subsidiary of Dover Corporation. Dover is a multi-billion dollar, NYSE-traded, diversified manufacturer of a wide range of proprietary electronic components and systems.
Dow-Key Microwave specializes in the design and manufacture of customized, high-performance coaxial switches, waveguide switches, high-reliability (space) switches (including T-switches and switch blocks), as well as switching systems such as RF matrices (electromechanical, solid state, and fiber optics). We also offer system-level rack integration, programmable attenuators, and delay lines. Our products are used internationally by commercial, military, and government customers in a wide range of applications, including space (launch vehicles, manned vehicles, and satellites), telecommunications, automated test equipment (ATE), avionics, ground-based satellite communications, and broadcasting.
We conduct all of our design, assembly, and test activity within a 36,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. It includes two Class 7 clean rooms supporting our high-reliability space and military projects. We also offer a complete range of in-house RF and environmental testing capabilities, including multipaction, passive inter-modulation (PIM), vibration, thermal shock, and thermal vacuum.
Dow-Key Microwave is located in California 63 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 30 miles southeast of Santa Barbara in the city ofVentura. The facility is nestled between the Los Padres Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. This oceanfront community offers miles of beaches and a sunny Mediterranean climate averaging a year-round temperature of 74 degrees and an annual rainfall of only about 14 inches.
